Mary Jo Hyett-Moore

Mary Jo Hyett-Moore, 66 of Aledo, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services are Monday at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial is in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Mary Jo’s name for the Mercer County Wrestling Program.

Mary Jo was born on January 14, 1947 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Jinks & Virginia (Prosser) Richardson. She married Lane Hyett on April 7, 2010.

Mary Jo worked with her husband at the L.R. Hyett Furniture Store. Her most important job was being a devoted Mom and Grandma. She also enjoyed gardening and vacationing in Hawaii.

Those left to cherish Mary Jo’s memory include her husband, Lane; 4 children & spouses: Douglas & Susan Moore of Hurst, TX; David & Amy Moore of Batavia, IL; Stephen & Anika Moore of Palatine, IL and Andrea Moore of Rock Island; step-daughter, Lisa & Jeremy Finch of Aledo; Grandchildren: Jordan O’Rand; Alexandra & Adam Bravo; Chad, Connor & Alyssa Moore; Hannah, Joshua, Andrew & Aaron Moore and Liam Rhattigan; 2 great-grandchildren: Lucy & Eleanor Bravo; 4 step-grandchildren: Taylor, Tristen, Lauren & Natalie Finch; a sister: Patty Ramsey & husband, Ralph of Greenfield, IN; half-sister, Diana VanDellen of Lakeland, FL and her mother-in-law, Babe Hyett of Aledo.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Harold Newkirk and her step-son, Lance Hyett.
