Sandy Marie Springer

Services for Sandy Springer, 69 of Seaton, will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Candor Cemetery, Seaton. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sandy Springer Memorial Fund. Sandy died on Friday, January 21, 2011 at her home. Sandra Marie was born on July 20, 1941 in New York to Jacob & Borchild (Nelson) Jacobsen. She married Daniel Springer on August 11, 1962 in Georgia. Sandy was a dedicated member of the Seaton community. She was a member of the Center Presbyterian Church; Seaton Community Club; Seaton Library Board and a trustee for the Seaton Fire Department. When her children were in school, she was a Aledo Athletic Booster Member. In earlier years when the family lived in New York, she was President of the Jaycee Softball League in Kingston and also coached. She also loved her crosswords, wordfinds, Bingo and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish Sandy’s memory include her husband, Dan; children and their spouses: Bob & Beth Springer, Peggy & Randy Kaufman and Scott Springer all of Seaton; 3 grandchildren: Nichole Cameron and Jessica Springer of Aledo and Airman Jacob & Samantha Cameron of Anchorage, Alaska; 2 great-grandchildren: Wyatt Walker Springer and Trinity Mae Anne Aber; a brother: Kenneth Jacobsen and wife, Audrey of Northville, MI and a sister, Arlene Stoffel and husband Dick of Fort Pierce, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Reese Elisabeth Springer.
