David L. Hampton

David L. Hampton, 80 of Millersburg, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at his home. Private family burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family. David was born on February 16, 1931 in Eliza, Illinois to Carl & Bernice (Louck) Hampton. He married Shirley Cleveland on August 2, 1959 at the Taylor Ridge United Methodist Church. David retired from Farmall after 30 years of dedicated employment. He enjoyed stock car racing, working on cars and welding. David is survived by his wife, Shirley; 2 children & their spouses: Paul & Jolene Hampton of Joy and Marie & Paul Thompson of Norwood and three granddaughters: Sabrina; Shannon and Nikole. He was preceded in death by his parents.
