Jeffrey Douglas Rickords

Jeffrey D. Rickords, 33 of Aledo, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In keeping with Jeff’s love of animals, memorials may be made to the Mercer County Animal Shelter. Jeff was born on February 9, 1978 in Galesburg, Illinois. He had been employed with General Machine and Grind, Aledo. Jeff enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar. He also was a talented poet. Jeff is survived by his mother, Kathy Bell and husband, Donald of Aledo; sister, Lisa Hoane and husband, Michael of Herrin, IL; brother: Mike Rickords and wife, Marci of Miles, IA; step-brother, Brian Bell and step-sister, Teresa Larson and husband, Jay, all of Aledo; and 4 nephews: Dayton and Dawson Rickords and Hunter and Austin Hoane.
