Robert D. Bockewitz

A memorial gathering for Robert D. Bockewitz, 59 of Aledo, will be held on June 12th from 1 to 3 PM at his sister’s home at 510 34th Avenue, East Moline. All family and friends are invited to this time of remembering. Robert died on May 31, 2011 at his home in Aledo. Robert was born on November 15, 1951 in Moline to Robert M. & Helen (Gyorkos) Bockewitz. He had previously been employed with Service Rubber and Deere & Co. before moving to Florida where he was a Chef for Disney. Robert is survived by his son: Richard Bockewitz of Clearwater, FL; a sister, Barbara Coborn of East Moline; grandchildren: Jessica and Jadyn and a niece and her family: Missy, Michael, Mia and Mitchell Housenga of Rapids City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William R. Bockewitz.
