Evelyn J. Unsworth

Evelyn J. Unsworth, 59, of Aledo died Friday, June 17, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Funeral Services will be Monday at 2:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo with visitation 2 hours prior to services. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Aledo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for Pathway Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Evelyn was born on August 5, 1945 in Rock Island, IL to Joseph Leroy & Maxine Mae (Smith) Newswander. She married George Unsworth on September 12, 1986 in Aledo, IL. Evelyn retired from the Department of Human Services after 19 years of service. Evelyn was a beautiful quilter at both embroidery and hand quilting. She also collected dolls. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her husband, George; mother, Maxine Newswander of Aledo; children & spouses: Robert & Carrie Rind of Davenport; Cynthia Kay & Grey Smith of Davenport; William & Diane Unsworth of Viola and Thomas & Priscilla Unsworth of Casa Grande, AZ; Alicia & Scott Jones of Alpha and Carolyn & Tim Enright of Buffalo Prairie; a brother, William Leroy & Patricia Newswander of Aledo; a brother-in-law, Ron Darwin of Big Island; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Melody Duverney and a sister, Sandra May Darwin.
