Shirley Pestle

Shirley Pestle, 76 of Aledo, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2013. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date, in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. A memorial for the Alzheimers Association had been established at Speer Funeral Home, PO Box 27, Aledo, IL in Shirley’s name. Shirley was born on October 27, 1936 to William Ernest “Ernie” and Anna Marie (Fredrickson) Streets. Shirley owned and operated Shirley’s Beauty Salon in her home for over 50 years. Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory include her children and spouses: Krista & Gene Bear of Aledo and Keith & Robbye Mowry of Mannon; her companion, David Mills of Aledo; grandchildren: Sheldon and Danielle DeFrieze and a great-grandson, Rylan Teel. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Angela DeFrieze in 2006; grandson, William in infancy and a brother, Rodney Streets.
