Lois Mae Rader

November 14, 1936 — December 18, 2014

Lois M. Rader, 78 of Little York, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Marigold Healthcare Center, Galesburg, Illinois. Memorial Services will be Monday at 1:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Fellowship and Visitation will follow the services. Private Family burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church. Lois was born on November 14, 1936 to Lee & Erma (Smith) Landis. She married James E. “Bud” Rader on August 31, 1957 at the Sunbeam United Presbyterian Church, rural Aledo. Lois worked for the bank in Little York, lastly with Wells Fargo. She enjoyed her friendships at Sunbeam Church where she was with the Woman’s Association and was Sunday School Secretary and Treasurer and Youth Group Sponsor for many years. Lois also helped for many years with Concessions at Seaton Softball and the Seaton Community Club Stand at the Mercer County Fair. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. Those left to cherish Lois’ memory include her husband, James “Bud”; children and spouses: Diane & Scotty Goodell of Roseville; Brian & Sharla Rader of Henderson, NE and a daughter in Arizona ; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Norma (Richard) Bemis of Aledo; Brother: Kenneth (Arlene) Landis of Galva and sister-in-law, Kathy Landis of Morton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David; a granddaughter, Cindy; a brother, Donald and a sister, Elaine.
