Don Corwin

Celebration of Life services for Don Corwin, 64 of Aledo, will be Monday at 6:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Military Honors will be provided by the Mercer County VFW. Visitation is prior to services from 4 to 6 PM. Memorials may be made to the Don Corwin Memorial Fund. Don died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo. Don was born on February 8, 1950 in Jackson, Michigan to William J. & Kay (Mudge) Corwin. He attended Roosevelt Military Academy, Aledo and was a Viet Nam Veteran, having served in the United States Marines. He married Sue Hofmann in 1994 in Aledo. Don was employed with General Grind & Machine. He enjoyed golfing in earlier years and playing pool with Steve Louck. Don was a member of the VFW in Marshall County Tennessee. He was an avid football fan, especially the Detroit Lions. He cherished the time spent with this family, especially his grandchildren. Those left to cherish Don’s memory include his wife, Sue; 3 Children and spouses: Kristina & Jason Poteete of Lewisburg, TN; Michele & Mike Davis of New Market, TN and Daniel & Tiana Corwin of Lewisburg, TN; 8 grandchildren: Ethan, Taylor, Gary Jon, Ian, Braelyn, Brooklyn, Wil & Grace; 2 brothers: Kenneth of Florida and Larry of Washington.
