Marjorie Anne Wood, 84 of Clinton and formerly of Aledo, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Manor Care, Bettendorf. Private family services will be held with burial in Corns Cemetery, rural Aledo. Public visitation is Friday, February 20th from 4 to 8 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hour Ministries at www.lhm.org. Marjorie was born on September 7, 1930 in Taylor Ridge, Illinois to William G. & Lois M. (Winegard) Mueller. She married John M. Wood on September 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1993. Marjorie was a homemaker who devoted her time to her family and helping her husband farm. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society; member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau and Home Extension. Marjorie and her daughter enjoyed weaving on their wooden looms together and showcasing their craft under the business name "The Wooden Looms". Marjorie is survived by her children and spouses: Elizabeth Wood of Clinton, IA; Jeff & Kay Wood of Reynolds and Tom & Chris Wood of Maple Grove, MN;, 6 grandchildren and spouses: Jim & Bree Wood; Josh & Julia Wood; Jennifer & Eric Bongartz; Lauren Wood and fiancé Jeff Hoeft; Jake & Katie Wood and Jessica & Timothy Rauschke and 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Allan G. Mueller of Urbana; sisters-in-law: Marlene Bayer and Peggy Mueller both of Taylor Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Son, Billy; brothers, Kenneth, Glenn & Richard Mueller and a sister, Rachel Mueller.
