Mary L. Hall

Funeral services for Mary L. Hall, 91 of Aledo, will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, rural Aledo. Memorials may be made to the Mary Hall Memorial Fund. Mary died on Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home. Mary Leona was born on October 27, 1925 in Oakland, Maryland to Dorsey Leo & Ina Catherine Moreland. She married Samuel Rex Hall on October 27, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1988. Mary was the Aledo High School Secretary, prior to retirement. Mary loved to spend time in her garden and she especially loved her flower garden. She also spent a lot of time embroidering table linens. She cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren the most. Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her children: Sandra Lott of Eldridge, IA; Larry E. & Claire Hall of Nevada, IA; grandchildren: Amanda & Brent Honnold, Melissa & Corey Morris, Megan & Joe Humphrey, Matt & Ashley Hall, Travis & Lien Lott, Jesse & Aiday Lott and Laura & Jon Irving; Great-Grandchildren: Sam and Alexis Lott; Alex, Sarah, Josh & Emily Irving; Brady, Carly & Nile Morris and Ayden Humphrey; a sister, Peggy Riley of Washington D.C. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Russell Lott and 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
