Beverly L. Haney

Funeral services for Beverly L. Haney, 84 of Aledo, will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Aledo United Methodist Church or the Mercer County YMCA. Bev died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo. Bev was born the youngest twin daughter of Russell & Hazel (Pahl) Sandquist on October 15, 1932 in Davenport, Iowa. She married David Haney on February 21, 1954 at the Aledo United Methodist Church. Bev was a dedicated nurse, retiring from the Mercer County Hospital after 35 years of employment. In her spare time Bev enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s activities, traveling with Dave, golfing, playing cards, reading and watching sports on TV. Those left to cherish Bev’s memory include her husband of 63 years, Dave; daughters and sons-inlaw: Debbie & Garry Toops, Kathy Haney and Cheri & Dale Bloomfield, all of Aledo; Grandchildren: Matthew & Sarah Bloomfield, Nicholas Bloomfield, Holly & Joe Staker, Britney Toops and Jessica Toops; Great-grandchildren: Jase & Hadley Staker; twin sister, Barb Runyon and husband, Jim of Aledo; sister-in-law, Neta Tagge & husband, Steve of Springfield, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
