Alta I. Frieden

Alta I. Frieden, 60 of Eliza, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Mercer County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Drury Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Memorials may be made to the Alta Frieden Memorial Fund. Alta Ilene was born on November 8, 1949 in Muscatine, Iowa to Lester and Blanche (Terrill) Frieden. She was a lifelong resident of the Eliza area. Alta enjoyed family dinners, gardening, baking and crocheting. She loved the Christmas season. She attended Grace Chapel in Joy. Alta is survived by her sister, brothers and their spouses: Florence & Richard Sell of Eliza; Wilbur & Bonnie Frieden of New Boston and Randy & Brenda Frieden of Aledo and many nieces and nephews. Alta was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter in infancy, Michele; brother: Keith Frieden and sister, Lois Frieden.
