Funeral Services for Alice J. Howard, 77, of Keithsburg, formerly of New Boston, will be Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, with visitation prior to services, starting at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alice Howard Memorial Fund. Alice died on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Aledo Rehabilitation & Healthcare. Alice was born on December 19, 1928 to Ezra & Alberta (James) Howard. She was employed with St. Anthony’s Hospital as a Nurses Aide and retired from Service Rubber in 1970. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the children; loved to dance and especially loved her cats. Survivors included her brother: Robert Howard of Aledo; sisters: Betty & Ira Morgan of Muscatine and Shirley Armstrong of Monmouth; and 3 generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: James, Walter, Aaron, Willis & Clarence Howard and a sister, Helen Shoemaker.
