Evelyn V. Reynolds

Funeral Services for Evelyn V. Reynolds, 85 of Viola and formerly of Galesburg and Alexis will be Thursday at 2:30 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Evelyn Reynolds Memorial Fund. Evelyn died on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Aledo Rehab and Healthcare Center. Evelyn was born on August 18, 1924 in Rural Viola to Howard M. & Bertha E. (Engwall) Robbins. She was previously married to Tom Kell and Bill Reynolds. Evelyn retired in 1989 after 25 years of employment with Admiral in Galesburg. She enjoyed her daily visits to the coffee shops in Alexis and Viola where she could have her coffee and visit with friends. Her true joy in life was her Shelties and she could often be seen giving them their daily walks. Those left to cherish Evelyn’s memory include her sister: Marian L. Brewer; Nephews & Nieces: Gary & Sue Brewer of Marble Hill, MO; Ed Brewer of Viola; Jim & Kim Brewer of Silvis; Steve Robbins of Hillsdale; Candee Kendall of Aledo and Janet & David Brown of Prophetstown; 2 great-nephews; 4 great-nieces; 4 great-great-nephews and 2 great-great-nieces. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Howard “Gene” Robbins.
