Audrey Anderson

Audrey Anderson, 93 of Aledo, died Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Mercer Manor, Aledo. Memorial services are Monday, September 21st at 2:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, with visitation two hours prior to services beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Aledo United Methodist Church.

Audrey Irene Maynard was born on August 28, 1933, in Tracy, Minnesota to John & Marie (Deem) Maynard. She was previously married to Richard Hartman. From this union, two sons were born, Richard and James. She married Harold “Andy” Anderson on March 22, 1984, in Palm Springs, California. They loved to dance in spend their winters in Palm Springs. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1997.

Audrey retired after many years as Postmaster in Matherville. She was a devoted member of the Aledo United Methodist Church. Audrey enjoyed her membership at Oakview Country Club. Audrey had a close circle of friends who enjoyed golfing, bowling, and especially playing cards. She cherished her grandchildren and always loved to receive updates on their activities and accomplishments. 

Audrey is survived by her son: Richard Hartman (companion, Kathleen Hattaway); step-daughters, Jodi Andress and Connie & Jesse Midkiff; grandchildren, Vanessa, Dallas, and Jessica ; step-grandchildren: Jason, Linsey, Todd, Amy, Kim & Kelly; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; several step=great-grandchildren and a brother, Dale Maynard. She was preceded in death by her husband, son James Hartman, grandson, Dane Hartman, and brothers, John & Bob Maynard.
