Benjamin H. Bruner, 48 of Davenport, died August 17, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City. Visitation is Monday, August 22, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. The family asks that you wear your Iowa Hawkeye Gear, in Ben’s honor, or your other favorite sports team. Private burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bruner Family.

Benjamin Harrison Bruner was born on May 14, 1974, in Aledo, Illinois to Daniel H. & Babette L. (Hunter) Bruner. He was currently working for Security at the Isle of Capri, Bettendorf. Ben had previously lived in Florida and had been a manager for a telemarketing company. While in Florida he loved sharing his cooking talents with all the fresh seafood available.

Ben was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and followed many other sports. He especially enjoyed NASCAR and Iowa Hawkeye Football. In honor of Ben's giving nature, in death he has donated his corneas to give someone sight. 

Those left to cherish Ben’s memory include his fiancé: Angie Ruh of Davenport; father, Daniel Bruner of Andalusia; mother and step-father, Babette & Steve Liby of New Windsor; his children: Lani & Miranda Griggs of Pensacola, FL; Britny & Morgan Chunn of Gainesville, FL; Brighton & Madi Bruner of Pensacola, FL; 6 grandchildren: Brayden, Bentley, Brooklyn, Bradley, Scarlett & Violett; step-brothers: Kevin & Amber Liby and Wesley Junis; and his grandmother: Janet Hunter of Aledo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Bruner and grandparents: Harrison & Veryle Bruner and Dick Hunter.
