Bradly Harold Ottoson

May 11, 1970 — February 4, 2026

ALEDO, IL

Bradly Ottoson, 55 of Aledo, died of a sudden illness at his home on February 4, 2026. Visitation will be held on February 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. As Brad’s favorite color was purple, the family asks that you wear purple in his honor. Memorials may be made to the Ottoson family.

Bradly Harold Ottoson was born on May 11, 1970, in Moline, Illinois to Harold Frank & Linda (Markley) Ottoson. He married Janean Stanley on June 28, 1999, in Monmouth, Illinois.

Brad was currently working for Farm King in Monmouth, where he could do what he loved, spending the day helping others choose the right firearm. He loved guns, collecting them, shooting them and just talking about them. He worried about the “kids” at Farm King and was always there if one needed something. Prior to Farm King, he worked as a millwright for his family business, S&O Construction. He worked side by side with his father for over 26 years.

In his spare time, he was a private man who enjoyed a game of chess, a good bourbon, and time with a select group of friends. He loved animals, especially dogs. He had a special cocker spaniel, Duke, that greeted him in heaven.

Brad’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Janean and his mother, Linda Ottoson. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Frank & Ada Ottoson and William & Grace Markely.
