Christian Evan Meister, 51, of Bloomington, Illinois, entered the loving embrace of his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 21, 2026. He was born on May 31, 1975, at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Davenport, Iowa, and was raised lovingly by his parents, Brian and Drue Kelly.

In July 2013, Christian married the love of his life, Harshini (Ashley), and together they built a beautiful, joy-filled family. He was a devoted and tender father to Aiden and Emily with Ashley, and to Ryan with Debbie. His children were the light of his life, each bringing him immeasurable joy.

Christian was a lifelong learner with an unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth. After graduating from Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois, he continued his education at Illinois Central College and Illinois State University. His dedication to excellence was reflected in the many advanced professional designations he earned throughout his career, including Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), Associate Annuity Products and Administration (AAPA), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and the distinguished Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) credential.

Christian dedicated many years to a respected and impactful career with State Farm in the insurance and financial planning field. Known for his expertise, integrity, and genuine care for others, he was a trusted advisor and a valued member of his professional community.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Christian was a member of Vale Church in Bloomington. He also proudly served his country in the Illinois National Guard, graduating at the top of his advanced training class. His devotion to God and country reflected his strong character, humility, and steadfast commitment to serving others.

Christian had a great love for life and the simple joys it offered. As a child, he treasured time spent at his grandparents’ farm, where he developed a lifelong love of fishing and the outdoors. He was an enthusiastic St. Louis Cardinals fan and cherished family trips to St. Louis, Chicago, Bennett Springs, and Branson, Missouri—memories his loved ones will hold close forever.

Christian is survived by his beloved wife, Harshini (Ashley); his cherished children, Ryan, Aiden, and Emily; his loving parents, Brian and Drue Kelly; John Meister, his brother, Nicklaus (Maureen) Hussong of Naperville, Illinois; his niece, Abigail, and nephew, Joseph; his mother‑in‑law, Prabha Kallat of India; his sister‑in‑law, Mridula Vijayan, and brother‑in‑law, Arun Rajendran; niece, Nia, and nephew, Niranjan; along with many treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Kathleen Joseph of Aledo, Illinois; William and Betty Kelly of Stockbridge, Georgia; William and Verna Meister of Davenport, Iowa; and his father‑in‑law, M C Vijayan.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home in Aledo, Illinois, with visitation one hour prior to services beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project, made in Christian’s honor and memory.
