Donna Chapman Lee

Donna M. Chapman Lee, 74 of Aledo, formerly of Stark County, died May 26, 2022, at Mercer Manor, Aledo. A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held on June 11^th from 12 to 2 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be left to the Mercer County Animal Shelter. Donna May was born on December 24, 1947, along with her twin Edie, to Robert & Mary Ann (Crum) Chapman in Keithsburg, Illinois. She worked in both retail and office management. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers; animals, especially cats; was an avid reader and loved to go shopping. She just adored children, especially her great-granddaughters.

Those left to cherish Donna’s memory include her sons and daughter-in-law: Tom & Norma Nelson of Wyoming, IL; Anthony Nelson of Morehead, MN; Andrew Lee of Tremont, IL; Siblings: William Chapman of Sterling, IL; Rosemary Dellitt of Rock Falls, IL; Edie Willits of Aledo; Rick & Mindy Chapman of Fenton, IL; Susie (Michael) Hendricks of Manito, IL; sister-in-law, Lori Boyles; grandchildren: Joe & Marianne Collins, Chris & Brittany Collins and Jesse & Kelsie Schluter; great-grandchildren: Madi, Emmy, Norah and 2 lovingly expected. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Donald Chapman, Roberta Overturf and Robert Chapman and sisters-in-law, Carol and Glessy Chapman.
