Gage M. DeShane

Gage M. DeShane, 27 of Aledo, died Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Decatur Memorial Hospital. There will be no formal services at this time. The family asks that you honor Gage's life by doing a kind deed for others. Gage's last kind deed was the gift of life by organ donation.  Memorials may be made to Mackenzie Patterson, for Gage’s daughters.

Gage was born on November 20, 1995, in Aledo, Illinois. He attended Mercer County High School where he was active in Baseball, Football and played Saxophone in the band. He was currently employed with LeClaire Manufacturing in Bettendorf.

Gage was an outdoors guy who loved fishing, hunting, collecting rocks and taking his girls to the park. He also enjoyed working on cars and wrestling with his girls. No matter where he went, he loved to joke around and help others, and was always willing to take a cruise to listen to music with Mackenzie.

Gage is survived by his ride or die, Mackenzie Patterson and his daughters: Isabel, Roselyn & Briella; his mother and stepfather, Mandy & Dave Staley; father, Matthew DeShane; grandparents: Kim & Bob Frakes and Sis Miller; Siblings: Steph DeShane; Carly & Josh Stead; Cassie, Claire, Cleo & Cylie Hanson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
