Jean Ruggles

M. Jean Ruggles, 95 of Aledo, died peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Aledo Rehab and Healthcare. Private family services will be held with burial in Aledo Cemetery. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.

Margaret Jean was born on May 31, 1928, in Mendon, Illinois to Edward J. & Margaret (Daughterty) Stockhecke. She married Joseph John Ruggles on August 28, 1947, in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2003.

Jean was a member of the College Avenue Presbyterian Church. She dedicated her life to caring for her home and her family.

Those left to cherish Jean’s memory include her children: Deborah & Clifford Cobert; Joan & John Hayman, Jeff Ruggles, Teresa & David Hitz and Dan & Jennifer Ruggles. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
