Judith M. Redlinger, 81 of Seaton, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in McClure Cemetery, Seaton, Illinois. Visitation is Wednesday, from 3 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make donations to one of the countless charities Judy volunteered for, including: Furever Friends, SPARKS and Women for Women.
Judy's service will be livestreamed on the Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, Illinois facebook page.
Judith Marie was born on November 17, 1944, in Monmouth, Illinois to Charles D. “Pooky” & Ruth Elizabeth (Chambers) Harlan. After graduating from Aledo High School, she attended training for her LPN. She married Richard Lee Redlinger, later divorcing.
Judy worked for various operations in the hospitality industry including resorts, hotels and restaurants. She was the essence of the perfect hostess. Judy was a tireless volunteer, working many hours for what she believed in. Some of her favorites included, FurEver Friends, SPARKS, Scottish American Society, Chapter H PEO, Mercer County Historical Society, Mercer County Women for Women, Cornbelt Running Club, The Figge Art Museum and her hometown church, Center Presbyterian Church.
Judy also believed in having fun with her love of skiing, kayaking and going on Rescue Runs. She loved to try new things including dog sledding, white water rafting or anything her family wanted to try.
Those left to cherish Judy’s memory and carry on her legacy include her children and spouses: Sloane & Jae Milewski; Cynthia Gill; Devan Redlinger and Tom Klein; Jeff & Coleen Redlinger; grandchildren: Carley Milewski, Morgan Milewski, Payton Gill & Mackay Weddell, Sean & Ashley Kenney and Jackson Redlinger; great-grandchildren: Oliver and Lylah; siblings and spouses: Sue Taylor; Tom & Susie Harlan; Ruth Ann & Jerry McNearney and Frank & Diane Harlan. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband and brother-in-law, Larry Taylor.
