Kevin (Boner) E. Jones

Kevin (Boner) Jones, 60 of Viola, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Unity Point Hospital, Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 6 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Private family services will be held, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Aledo. Memorials may be made to One Eighty. 

Kevin Eugene was born on November 14, 1957 in Aledo, Illinois to Edward Eugene “Gene” & Alice Darlene (Hampton) Jones. He was the owner and operator of Jones Hide and Fur.

Kevin spent his life working outdoors trapping, hunting and farming and in his spare time, fishing and enjoying the company of friends and family. He took great pride in building his homestead and maintaining the surrounding property.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Darlene; siblings: Diann & Randy Slater and Dale & Amy Jones, all of Aledo; 8 nieces and nephews: Shellie Price, Julie Young, Evan & Tricia Price, Lauren Slater, Meridith Slater, Sara & Matthew DePorter, Danielle Jones and Colton Jones; and several great-nieces and nephews.
