Linda Sue was born on September 11, 1943, in Muscatine, Iowa, the only child of William & Leota (Thurston) Pulliam. She attended Muscatine Community Schools, leaving before graduation. Many years later, she earned her GED, an accomplishment she was very proud of.
Linda married Ernest Faler and together they raised four children: Pam, Cindy, Wendy and Bill. They later divorced.
Linda was the first store manager for Casey’s General Store in Columbus Junction in the early 1980’s. A graduate of the Stewart School of Hairstyling, she had a 30+ year career as a stylist in various salons in Muscatine. Through her work she formed lifelong friendships, with both co-workers and loyal clients.
In 1996, Linda was united in marriage to Charles E. Coulter in Muscatine. They made their home on a farm in Mercer County, Illinois. In retirement, they enjoyed traveling in their RV and spending winters in Texas.
In recent years, Linda spent countless hours at the kitchen table with adult coloring books and her favorite markers. She was talented at crocheting; was always up for a card game of pitch; and was an avid Caitlin Clark fan. Above all else, Linda was the happiest when surrounded by her loved ones.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughters, Pamela Faler of Columbus Junction, Iowa; Cindy (Jeff) Peterson of Waynesville, Missouri; son, William (Tammy) Faler of Columbus Junction; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and stepchildren, Jim Coulter, John Coulter and Jayne Savage. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Wendy and grandson, Eric.
