Michael G. Blaser

Michael G. Blaser, 79 of Aledo, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis, Aledo. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is prior to services from 10 to 11 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo.

Michael Gene was born on March 31, 1947, in Rock Island, Illinois to Glenn A. & M. Verlee (Pearson) Blaser. He was previously married to the former Diane Trial.

Michael was a thoughtful, gentle soul who worked hard his whole life. He enjoyed life on the family farm where he could help out, mow the yard and ride around on the side by side. He appreciated music, and would often sing along with his favorite country western music. In the most recent years, he had a favorite farm cat, Honey, that kept him company.

Michael is survived by his siblings and spouses: Butch Blaser, Steve & JoAnn Blaser, Donna & Dick Stone, Alice Jo & J.W. Dellitt, and Terri Thornton & Rich Zies. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Pat Stone, Monte Thornton, and Dennis Blaser in infancy.
