Polly Salmon

Graveside services for Polly Salmon, 69 of Seaton, will be Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Aledo Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Polly Salmon Memorial Fund. Speer Funeral Home is assisting the family. Polly died Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa. Polly Ann was born July 28, 1948 in Moline, Illinois to Orvill Lee & Janice (Simpkins) Salmon. Polly retired from the Aledo School District after many years as Custodian. She also had done CNA work for both nursing homes in Aledo. Polly loved her Chicago Sports teams, especially the Bears and the Cubs. She enjoyed reading and crafts and raising horses in her youth. Polly had a special Palomino, Blaze and a dedicated canine companion, Brandie. Polly's memory will be cherished by her daughter, Joann Salmon of Seaton; grandson, Connor; sister, Kathy (Bill) Rogers of Lawrenceville, NJ; a foster brother, Carl (Cheryl) Whitby of Independence, MO and a nephew, Jason Huston of Monmouth. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Robin Huston.
