Sherry L. Bieri

Sherry L. Bieri, 73 of Aledo, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Trinity, Rock Island. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Memorials may be left to the Mercer County Animal Shelter for the building fund.

Sherry Lee was born on September 28, 1944 in Rock Island, County to Sidney & Dorothy (Somers) McKeag. She married Robert B. Bieri on June 5, 1964 in Reynolds, Illinois.

Sherry was a dedicated homemaker and grandmother. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and was often their “taxi” to school. Sherry had a gift for growing flowers and tending to her birds. She also enjoyed bowling, playing softball, antiquing and going to every garage sale she could find. Sherry was a great fan of the Golden State Warriors.

Those left to cherish Sherry’s memory include her husband, Robert; children and their spouses: Laurie & Keith Moreland; Russ Bieri & Renee Harfst and Chris & Phil Lloyd all of Aledo; grandchildren: Kale Moreland, Logan Moreland, Brittney & Bryce Long, Tyler Bieri & Briana Wassell and Alex Lloyd; a great-grandson, Leighton Bieri and one lovingly expected; a "third daughter": Diana Daggett of Rock Island; Siblings: Marilyn Bennett of Milan; Joan Cumberworth of New Boston; June Sims of Rock Island; Sue & Gilbert Lingle of Sherrard and Tom & Chris McKeag of Milan. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sonny McKeag.
