Susan Kay Imler, 75 of Aledo and formerly of Galesburg, died suddenly on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Brookstone of Aledo. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Boston/Eliza Fire Department. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.
Susan was born on March 9, 1949, to Les & Jessie (Bennett) Lindburg. She was a 1967 graduate of Alexis High School. Susan married Daniel Charles Imler.
Susan was employed with Monmouth Pottery for many years before working for Shearer’s Food in Burlington, from where she retired. In her spare time, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and especially her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed doing puzzles and watching gameshows, especially the Wheel of Fortune.
Susan is survived by her husband, Daniel; children: Daniel Imler of New Boston; Roger Imler of Galesburg; Rebecca Duerre of North Carolina; Joseph Imler of California; Timothy Imler of Galesburg; and Jenny & Tony Triplett of Williamsfield; several grandchildren, including, Charlee and Rylee Triplett and Danielle (Jeremiah) Morse; a brother: Michael (Cindy) Lindburg of Monmouth; a sister-in-law: Kay King of Alexis and brother-in-law, Russ Alexander of Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tara Imler; son-in-law, Jeremy Duerre; brother, Howard King; sister and brother-in-law, Alice & Sam Patterson and sister, pat Alexander.
