William "Topper" G. Brock

William G. “Topper” Brock, 75 of Seaton, died March 1, 2022, at Mercer Manor, Aledo. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Private family burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks or SPARKS (Seaton Park and Recreation).

William Grant Brock was born on June 9, 1946, in Roseville, Illinois to William James & Fern (Brown) Brock. He served his country in the United States Army. Topper married Kathryn Robbins on November 16, 1968, in Seaton, Illinois.

Topper was employed with the Rock Island Arsenal for many years; served the Village of Seaton as Councilman for 25 years and was an antique car enthusiast. In his spare time, he was a jack of all trades who loved to fix any and everything. He also loved fishing and all animals.

Topper is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter and son-in-law: Katrina & Randy Morrison of Bishop Hill, IL; grandchildren: Connor & Courtney Morrison and Alex Morrison; Siblings and spouses: Pat & Red Stancliff of Aledo; Sandra & Bob Cook of Viola and Candy & John Swank of Aledo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William “Willy” Brock, Jr.; brother, Ron Brock and sister, Francie Howard.
